Eugenics and Impacts of that kind of thinking

Take a minute before you do this discussion to Google Image the word “Eugenics”. Take a good look at a minimum of twenty different posters, signs, newspaper titles…. Let it sink in as you think to yourself the following: How recent was all of this? Were my parents subjected to this kind of thinking? What about my grandparents? How does that rub off on me (believe me it has on all of us!). Now, respond to the question: “If this type of thinking and sterilization was as recent as 1978, how has education been affected?” and “How has this thinking been perpetuated in our unconscious, and sometimes even conscious, bias?” and how does this kind of thinking impact our families and their ability to partner with /trust schools.
