Students and teachers need to have procedures for everything, based on the needs of the particular class.<br \/>\nFor this assignment, identify a class of students in terms of grade level, K-8, and number of students in the class. Create a 10-12 slide digital presentation for the first day of school that will demonstrate how you will introduce expectations, processes, and diversity to your class.<br \/>\nYour digital presentation must include three parts:<br \/>\nPart 1 \u2013 Introduction<\/p>\n<p>How to introduce yourself to your students<br \/>\nHow students will introduce themselves to each other<br \/>\nHow the expectations, procedures, and behavior management will be introduced<br \/>\nHow the procedures and expectations will be enforced, along with possible consequences<\/p>\n<p>Part 2 \u2013 Expectations for Policies and Procedures<br \/>\nChoose five policies and procedures, applicable to your chosen grade level, from the list below or of your own, and describe how to implement them in your future classroom:<\/p>\n<p>Entering the classroom<br \/>\nUsing the restrooms<br \/>\nWhen students may go to the trash cans<br \/>\nThe use of technology in the classroom<br \/>\nTurning in classwork and homework<br \/>\nTalking to others in the classroom<br \/>\nGaining student attention<br \/>\nTransitions<\/p>\n<p>Part 3 \u2013 Incorporate Diversity<\/p>\n<p>How to address diverse needs in your class (e.g., a student in a wheelchair, a student does not speak English, a student who does not celebrate traditional holidays, a student who cannot eat certain foods because of religion, a student who is a different race than the rest of the class, etc.)<br \/>\nHow to instructionally support various diverse needs, including language, family backgrounds, skills, and abilities in your classroom<br \/>\nHow to develop a culture in your classroom that values each students\u2019 diverse background<br \/>\nHow to establish and maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with families.<\/p>\n<p>Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.<br \/>\nYou are required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite.<\/p>\n<p>Clinical Field Experience C: Behavior Management and Diversity<br \/>\nAllocate at least 2 hours in the field to support this field experience.<br \/>\nPart 1: Observation and Collaboration<br \/>\nObtain permission from your mentor teacher to observe another classroom in order to see various classroom management styles.<br \/>\nFor this field experience, observe another grade level or different classroom in the same grade level as in previous field experiences. Collaborate with your mentor teacher about behavior management and incorporation of diversity in the classroom.<br \/>\nPart 2: Reflection<br \/>\nIn 500-750 words, summarize and reflect on the three field experiences. In your summary, compare and contrast the three classrooms, answering the following questions:<\/p>\n<p>How were the behavior expectations different in the three classrooms?<br \/>\nWas the management of each classroom the same or different?<br \/>\nDid the teachers have different expectations for their students?<br \/>\nWhat adjustments would you have made in each classroom?<\/p>\n<p>Explain how you will use your findings in your future professional practice.<br \/>\nPrepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
