The case<\/p>\n<p>provides an opportunity to apply agile and Scrum principles to project management.<\/p>\n<p>Each part of the case contains several task assignments to help you explore the use of agile and<\/p>\n<p>Scrum principles.<\/p>\n<p>Part 7: Project Stakeholder Management<\/p>\n<p>As you learned in the text, it is critical to involve key stakeholders on important projects and<\/p>\n<p>focus on their needs. In agile projects, however, increased stakeholder involvement and faster<\/p>\n<p>decision making are often required. To enable timely, productive discussion and decision<\/p>\n<p>making, agile teams communicate directly with stakeholders instead of wading through tiers of<\/p>\n<p>management to establish such communications.<\/p>\n<p>The Third Avenue health-care app project involved the following stakeholders:<\/p>\n<p>\u0095 You, the product owner. You are one of two senior programmers at Third Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>\u0095 Eric, a junior programmer who is considered by his peers to be the author of some of the<\/p>\n<p>best code at the company. You have also designated Eric to be the project ScrumMaster.<\/p>\n<p>\u0095 Lia, another talented young programmer<\/p>\n<p>\u0095 Brianna, a marketing representative who has experience in health care from a previous job<\/p>\n<p>\u0095 Jack, the regulatory manager at Third Avenue<\/p>\n<p>\u0095 Kendra, the Quality Assurance manager<\/p>\n<p>\u0095 Aziz, a Quality Assurance tester who began his career as a programmer<\/p>\n<p>\u0095 Barry, a member of Third Avenue\u0092s three-person accounting staff<\/p>\n<p>\u0095 Members of Third Avenue management, who occasionally expressed doubts about the<\/p>\n<p>team\u0092s ability to complete the work by the deadline and within budget<\/p>\n<p>\u0095 Open a new Microsoft\u00ae Word document and complete the Tasks below.<\/p>\n<p>\u0095 Save the file on your computer with your last name in the file name. (Example: part 1<\/p>\n<p>tasks _Jones.doc)<\/p>\n<p>\u0095 Click the Choose File button to select and upload your saved document.<\/p>\n<p>Tasks 1. The preceding list contains a rather glaring omission. What group of stakeholders is not<\/p>\n<p>shown in the list?<\/p>\n<p>2. Review the preceding list of project stakeholders and project members, and then<\/p>\n<p>identify two examples of how these stakeholder roles might have been different in a<\/p>\n<p>traditional project management approach.<\/p>\n<p>3. Create a stakeholder management plan to handle the stakeholders\u0092 concerns and input<\/p>\n<p>for the health-care app after it has been released to the field. For example, continuing<\/p>\n<p>strategies are needed to monetize the software most effectively and to achieve<\/p>\n<p>maximum market penetration.<\/p>\n<p>Create an issue log for the project\u0092s main activities.
