Additional sources may be included as appropriate.)<\/p>\n<p>Instructions<br \/>\nThis week you will submit your final paper.<br \/>\nThe paper should include the following:<\/p>\n<p>Create your own 4-6 paragraph \u201cdilemma\u201d based on the controversial topic you chose in Week 3.<\/p>\n<p>Summarize the dilemma.<br \/>\nIdentify the key points of the dilemma.<br \/>\nDefine the key terms associated with the dilemma.<br \/>\nAnalyze the conflicts or controversies involved in the dilemma.<br \/>\nProvide an original point of view relative to the dilemma and the issue it signals.<\/p>\n<p>Apply Kant\u2019s Categorical Imperative to the dilemma.<br \/>\nApply one other method you have encountered in lecture material and the readings.<br \/>\nState which of the two methods you selected you prefer and why.<br \/>\nUse the 5 articles from your annotated bibliography. (Additional academic scholarly research from the past5 years can be included as well.)<\/p>\n<p>Include a reference page at the end of your paper in APA format that includes your bibliography with the annotations removed and any other sources used in your final paper.<br \/>\nParagraphs<\/p>\n<p>Paragraphs are composed around topics, which naturally and organically emerge from a complex, focused, and sophisticated thesis.<br \/>\nEach paragraph explores one topic and one topic only.<br \/>\nTopics directly relate to the thesis and are not theses in and of themselves.<br \/>\nThe paragraph completely and fully develops and explains the topic and provides details, examples, illustrations, and quotations from research as well as from the primary texts.<br \/>\nTopics and paragraphs rise above commonplace thinking and summary.<br \/>\nQuoted material is used powerfully to support analytical points (and not as padding).<br \/>\nThere is a graceful transition to the next paragraph.<br \/>\nThe ideas explored are significant, substantive, and instructive.<br \/>\nIdeas\/topics support the overarching thesis so that the paper is a unified whole, and not a concatenation of appended mini-essays.<\/p>\n<p>Grammar\/Mechanics\/Style<\/p>\n<p>Grammar refers to the correct usage of Standard American English.<br \/>\nMechanics refers to idiomatic conventions (capitalization of proper nouns, spelling, and punctuation).<br \/>\nStyle refers to persuasiveness, sophistication, wit, and transcendent quality.<br \/>\nSentences should be varied in length and complexity without loss of clarity or precision of meaning.<br \/>\nStyle makes a paper a pleasure to read.<\/p>\n<p>Writing Requirements (APA format)<\/p>\n<p>Length: 8-10 pages (not including title page or references page)<br \/>\n1-inch margins<br \/>\nDouble spaced<br \/>\n12-point Times New Roman font<br \/>\nTitle page<br \/>\nReferences page (minimum of 5 scholarly resources \u2013 remove annotations;
