As \u00a0previously experienced, engaging in reciprocal feedback allows one to \u00a0serve as both giver and receiver to expand upon one\u2019s understanding and \u00a0skill-set.<\/p>\n<p>Prepare<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Revisit the Week Six Final Project requirements, noting the specific age\/grade level and subject of your proposed lesson.<\/li>\n<li>Revisit the Weekly Lesson in Week Three for information regarding Gradual Release of Responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Review the\u00a0<a title=\"ECI601Week 5 Discussion Sample.pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/ashford.instructure.com\/courses\/59708\/files\/11626546\/download?wrap=1\" rel=\"nofollow\">Sharing Early Ideas<\/a>\u00a0sample discussion post.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reflect<br \/>\nConsider your learning and the big ideas you have \u00a0synthesized in the course regarding brain-based teaching and learning, \u00a0engagement, and motivation. Think about the depth of understanding that \u00a0you want to elicit from your learners and how utilizing the neuroscience \u00a0of learning influences the design of your lessons. \u201cBrain based \u00a0learning starts with the learner, not the content\u201d (Jensen, 2008, p. \u00a0210). Focus on your learners as you think through the components of your \u00a0lesson plan before you start your post.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Think through the following sections of the plan:\n<ul>\n<li>Lesson Overview (subject, grade\/age level)<\/li>\n<li>Standards (choose your specific content standards or professional\/program standards)<\/li>\n<li>Lesson Objectives (two specific, measurable, student-centered objectives aligned to your standards)<\/li>\n<li>Summary of the Learning Stages (Seven Stages of Brain-Based Planning)<\/li>\n<li>Questions (include questions\/concerns or specific areas that you would like feedback on)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Write<br \/>\nType your response directly in the Discussion Forum rather \u00a0than formatting it using the template from Week Six. (You will use the \u00a0template for your Final Project.)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lesson Overview: Include the subject, age\/grade level of learners (e.g., P-12, post-secondary, adults, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Standard(s): For P-12th grades, include the content specific \u00a0standards from your state or the Common Core. For adult learners, \u00a0include organizational or professional standards or program-specific \u00a0standards.<\/li>\n<li>Lesson objective(s): Include no more than two specific, measurable, \u00a0student-centered objectives that align with your standard(s).<\/li>\n<li>Learning Stages: This is an abbreviated version of what is expected \u00a0in Week Six. You are not expected to have every nuance of your plan \u00a0mapped-out at this stage. Summarize how the Seven Stages of brain-based \u00a0planning will be included. Recall that the stages of Gradual Release of \u00a0Responsibility as supported by Vygotsky\u2019s Zone of Proximal Development \u00a0should correspond with the brain-based stages of planning.
