(10 marks)<br \/>\n6. A seven-year-old Quarter horse gelding presents for evaluation of depression and<br \/>\nanorexia. The gelding had reportedly also lost weight over the past month. The horse<br \/>\nhas no history of diarrhoea, and urination has been normal.<br \/>\nPertinent findings from physical examination include dull mentation, body weight of<br \/>\n420 kg, a body condition score of 2 out of 5, dull hair coat, and cardiovascular<br \/>\nexamination findings consistent with mild (6%) dehydration.
