If you have not already done \u00a0so, go to the\u00a0<a title=\"Week 5 - Final Project\" href=\"https:\/\/ashford.instructure.com\/courses\/56566\/assignments\/1126295\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Week 5 \u2013 Final Project<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0and thoroughly review the instructions for creating the proposal. But the milestones and activities for \u00a0each age group are very different. In adolescence, the fine and gross \u00a0motor skills have been mostly developed, and the focus is about strength \u00a0and skill building as well as dealing with the effects of puberty.<\/p>\n<p>For example,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coloring or playing with clay would not be an appropriate activity \u00a0for an infant to improve fine motor skills, but it would be for the \u00a0early childhood room.<\/li>\n<li>In middle and late childhood, children are developing the muscle \u00a0mass to greatly improve their abilities to run and jump and play \u00a0organized games, which would not be appropriate for infants or toddlers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are many websites aimed at both parents and educators that \u00a0describe activities to promote physical development. The activities you \u00a0select do not have to be complex, but they do need to be age appropriate \u00a0and grounded in developmental milestones. Focus on the primary \u00a0developmental tasks of each age period.
