Write a visualization of the future when you are experiencing the accomplishment of your biggest goal or dream in your role as a student or your future career role. \u00a0\u00a0Describe the scene of your success as if it is happening to you now.<\/p>\n<p>Remember the four keys to effective visualization:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relax to free your imagination.<\/li>\n<li>Use present-tense verbs\u2026the experience in happening NOW!<\/li>\n<li>Use all five senses. \u00a0What do you see, hear, smell, taste, and feel (touch)?<\/li>\n<li>Include emotion. \u00a0Imagine yourself feeling great in this moment of grand accomplishment. \u00a0You deserve to feel fantastic!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Read your visualizations often. \u00a0Ideal times are right before you go to sleep and when you first awake in the morning. \u00a0You may even wish to record your visualizations and listen to them often. \u00a0Now that you have written a goal for personal and professional areas let\u2019s look to academic goals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Part 3<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Now that you can visualize achieving this long term goal, let\u2019s look at the steps needed to get there. \u00a0Break this long term educational goal down into 5 next steps, also known as short-term goals, to create a personal transfer or academic timeline. \u00a0These steps can include but are not limited to the following: deciding upon a major, meeting with your advisor, creating an individual academic plan, registering for upcoming semesters, financial aid deadlines, available meetings\/tours, application deadlines, research needing done, basic information about your credits transferring, what differences to expect if you transfer to another college\/university, and how you plan to increase your engagement at this new school. \u00a0Make sure to include the dates<strong>\u00a0in the future<\/strong>\u00a0that these\u00a0<u>five<\/u>\u00a0short term goals will be accomplished by and how you plan to achieve this.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 If you create a personal\u00a0<u>transfer<\/u>\u00a0timeline, a suggestion is to share basic information about your credits transferring, what differences to expect at your new college\/university, and how you plan to increase your engagement at your new school.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 If you create a personal\u00a0<u>academic<\/u>\u00a0timeline, a suggestion is to share basic information about deciding on your major, meeting with your advisor, registering \u00a0for upcoming semesters, creating an individual academic plan, financial aid deadlines, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Include the goal description,\u00a0<\/strong><u><strong>future<\/strong><\/u><strong>\u00a0due date, and how you plan to accomplish this goal for
