Take the Natural Logarithm of the voltage values 1.20,1.00, .80, .60, .40, .20. Graph the Natural Logs of these values vs. the Average values of the 2 trials for the 230 kilo-ohm resistor. Do another graph for the 310 kilo-ohm resistor. Have the Computer draw the best straight line through them and give the slopes of these 2 lines and their Regression (R2) Values. If the R2 Value is close 1, it will prove that Voltage decays Exponentially versus Time. Reciprocate the slope of each graph and multiply by (-1 ). This is the Experimental Value of the Time Constant. This should equal RC which is the Actual Time Constant. Calculate % Errors 100% x |tCxP – Tactual|/Tactuai and % Error = 100% x |R2 – 11/1
