For your final project, you will compose a letter to an elected official of your choice (IScal, state, or national) about a topic related to what we are studying this semester.
Drawing from the recent scholarship, you will use your education and your voice to bring attention to an issue about which you feel is important. Your letter should include a minimum of three scholarly references, one of which can be the course textbook.
You are free to choose a topic we are not covering this semester provided it concerns issues related to gender that have legal implications. Examples of topics include but are not limited to: advocacy for gender neutral restrooms, maternal/paternal employment leave, or availability/affordability of menstrual products.
Your letter should be no longer than two pages typed and single-spaced. It will be submitted via Canvas.
