a phenomenon or trend It should demonstrate a significant research component, including at least 8 reliable, well-chosen sources.
Formatting
• Title and heading at top of first page
• Standard margins. 12 font, double spaced -8-10 Pages
Content
-Clear presentation of the phenomenon or trend
‘Exploration of ONE plausible cause backed up by several debatable reasons -A competing cause and rebuttal
-Convincing support and well-implemented research from eight possible sources.
-Annotated bibliography, research notecards
Pre-work
As with Essay 2-4.1 am not assigning specific pre-work, and you do not have to use the first Essay Prompt pre-work guidelines, but please do use them it you find them helpful You must show’ evidence of pre-work, including anything we work on in class You should at the very’ least have invention notes, an outline, and peer edited drafts. You should use in-class work and class time wisely to demonstrate that you have done an adequate amount of pre-work and drafting.
